Porsche Taycan: 2024 Model Review

The Porsche Taycan, a luxury electric car (EV), has gotten major changes for the 2024 model year. This car has been hailed for its mix of speed, economy, and modern technology. Here’s a thorough look at the new features and changes.

Porsche Taycan Design and Aesthetics

The new Taycan gets updated front and back style. The revised headlights and taillights improve its sleek, purist form. The new front wings and lower headlights highlight the car’s width. The headlights now feature high-resolution HD matrix technology, with the iconic four-point images presented at night. The back light strip includes a Porsche logo in a three-dimensional, glass-look design, which is lit and features welcome/leaving images for the first time.

Interior and Comfort

The interior of the Taycan has been improved for 2024. The base version come stock with door sill guards in brushed metal. Two new leather-free interior choices, offered in Black and Black/Slate Grey, offer high-quality microfibre materials and cloth with wool content. This choice is a no-cost update for the Turbo and Turbo S models.

The control and display systems have also seen improvements. The instrument panel, central display, and available passenger display feature an improved user interface with extra functions. The mode switch on the steering wheel is now standard, and a special push-to-pass button is offered for cars equipped with the Sport Chrono package and Performance Battery Plus.

Performance and Efficiency

The Taycan’s performance has been greatly improved. All cars now come with adjustable air suspension as standard, and the new Porsche Active Ride suspension is offered for all-wheel-drive models. This method keeps a level body during active driving, offering both relaxation and speed. The new rear-axle motor offers up to 80 kW more power, and the highest recovery capacity during slowing has grown by over 30%, from 290 kW to 400 kW.

Efficiency has also been improved with more powerful batteries, updated temperature control, and a next-generation heat pump. The modern engine and aerodynamically tuned wheels and tires add to better energy use and longer driving ranges.

Technology and Features

The Taycan is packed with numerous high-tech features. Apple CarPlay is now deeply built into the car screens and features. The new In-Car Video mode allows video viewing on the central and seat screens. The car also includes a new control handle behind the steering wheel for more simple handling of driving aid systems.

Standard equipment has been greatly improved. All models now include Lane Change Assist, heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, electrically folding exterior mirrors with mirror surround lighting, Porsche Intelligent Range Manager (PIRM), a new cooling system, smartphone tray for wireless charging, electric charging ports on both the driver and passenger sides, and a Drive Mode switch.
